Janice Lei, a Marriage and Family Therapist Student Trainee at All Things Relationship

Are you ready to take the courageous step towards a happier, more fulfilling life? I understand that reaching out for support could be scary, and I’m here to provide a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space for your journey of self-discovery and growth.
Hello! I’m Janice Lei, a Marriage and Family Therapist Student Trainee at All Things Relationship, under the supervision of Maryanne Duan, LMFT (License #94176). Currently, I’m pursuing my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Massachusetts, Global (UMass Global). With a background in working as a school counselor and extensive experience in assisting children, I’ve come to understand the profound importance of family dynamics and the role of trusted relationships in an individual’s life. This realization has inspired me to pursue a career as a therapist, dedicated to helping individuals repair and strengthen their relationships and self.
My approach to therapy is customized to your unique needs and therapeutic goals. I firmly believe that therapy is not a “one-size-fits-all” solution. My approach is to provide a welcoming, compassionate, and judgment-free space for you to embark on your journey of self-discovery and growth. I can assist you with various concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, work-life balance, life transitions, self-development, acculturation, and relationship and family issues. I focus on helping you more deeply understand yourself and your relationships with others, reduce emotional distress, increase your capacity to cope with stressors, and remove obstacles to living the life you desire. You are the expert in your own life, and I am committed to seeing, listening to, and valuing your unique thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
Additionally, I’m passionate about working with Asian American communities, where mental health support may still carry stigma or be inaccessible. I’m dedicated to promoting mental health awareness in diverse communities. I also have a particular passion for working with children and families. My background as a school counselor has given me invaluable insights into the importance of family dynamics in a child’s life and how they can shape their overall well-being.
Clients often describe me as warm, empathic, interactive, and collaborative in my approach. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change, and I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey toward well-being.
If my approach resonates with you or if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. I’m eagerly anticipating the opportunity to connect with you and support you on your path to wellness. Your journey begins with that courageous first step.
