DMHS is seeking volunteers to help towards our mission of actively increasing access to mental health & wellness services for Black people, Indigenous people, and People of Color, as well as removing financial and systemic barriers for Black Therapists, Indigenous Therapists, and Therapists of Color to serve their communities.
We appreciate operational assistance and help securing funding as well to ensure the organization runs smoothly and has what it needs to continue providing services.
We accept volunteers from age 16 upwards for roles such as community events coordination, quality assurance management, and networking to name just a few. We are also seeking providers who offer pro-bono and/or sliding-scale services, are willing to receive pro-bono and/or reduced-fee referrals from DMHS, or donate non-clinical hours to support DMHS in our operations. This could look like administrative support, no-cost workshops/facilitation, supervision hours, outreach/social media, translation and more.
If this sounds like work you’re interested in, or if you’re curious about other ways to get involved, please fill out a form below!
