Tonya is a highly rated board-certified nurse practitioner who graduated from the University of Saint Joseph with a Master’s degree in nursing. Her credentials include more than seventeen years of experience working with adults afflicted with complex medical and co-occurring intellectual and psychiatric disorders. The University of Saint Joseph provided the education for her Advanced Practice Nursing role. It focused on providing care across the lifespan from age 6 to 99 earning a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification via the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC). Working in the inner-city outpatient community setting, her diverse experiences have prepared Tonya for an Advanced Practice Nursing role with a broad spectrum of focus, including managing disorders such as substance abuse, mood, anxiety, intermitting explosive disorders, and ADHD. Tonya’s comprehensive, holistic approach to patient care carefully considers all aspects of health and teaching.
Tonya is actively pursuing a “Doctor of Nursing Practice in Healthcare” at Chamberlin University.
