Claudelle R Glasgow, PsyD PLLC (dr. g)
Claudelle R Glasgow (doc; Dr.g; c) is a Queer Caribbean-American poet, somatic psychologist, Buddhist Chaplain, death doula, trickster teacher, emerging cultural critic, and public speaker. As a member of the coastal elite, doc is rooted in Trinidad and Haiti, raised in the Forgotten Borough, nourished in Chicago, and living in the Pacific Northwest. Cross-discipline, doc’s work is committed to exploring the interiority of Black Queer womanhood, creating space where seen and unseen realms are equal manifestors of change – a nostalgic, interconnected spiritual abolitionism.
Alongside being a poet writer, Dr. g has been in the service of healing for almost 20 years. Throughout Dr.g’s educational path, doc has held the position of viewing humanity through an integrated lens and it’s journey as an art. The work centers people of the global majority (PGM) at their intersections to unlock a path of being this is unabashedly whole, expansive, and true. doc empowers this way of being by collaborating with participants to utilize modern and ancestral technology tools of somatics, play, humor, hybrid poetry, and stillness to de-center the oft internalized confines of oppressive systems. Degrees in Psychobiology and English from Binghamton University and a doctorate from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology reflect this integration along with certificate training in trauma-informed care, LGBTQ+ health, Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, yoga nidra, death doula, and mindfulness among others.
