I am a LMFT and provide telehealth services to teens, adults, couples and families, from a trauma informed, psychodynamic attachment-based lens, while also integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices, such as MBSR and Brainspotting. As a Muslim, person of color, daughter of Pakistani immigrants, with a multi-racial family, I am especially interested in topics such as spirituality, social justice, decolonization, immigration and acculturation, and multicultural issues. I am LGBTIQ+ affirming and strive to create a safe and accepting therapeutic space. I am currently in-network with Blue Shield of California (BCBS) and Kaiser Northern California insurance and private pay (OON and can provide a superbill for potential insurance reimbursement).
I have specialized training and experience providing trauma-informed treatment, Child Parent Psychotherapy (working with the birth-age 5 age group), and treatment related to infertility and maternal mental health, neurodiversity (ADHD, Autism, etc.), mood disorders, health challenges (eating disorders, autoimmune/chronic illnesses, cancer) and grief/loss.
I also have specialized training to conduct immigration psychological evaluations for refugees and immigrants at risk for deportation who are seeking asylum, extreme hardship waivers, T-Visa, U-Visa waivers, and for WAVA (domestic violence) cases. An interpreter can be utilized if needed.
