I am a proud Hispanic woman who has navigated the complexities of a traditionally white, Eurocentric career path to become a professional Music Therapist and Yoga Instructor. I completed my Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Colorado State University and passed my Music Therapy Board Certification exam (number: 18933) in 2023. I am now practicing as the Lead Music Therapist and yoga instructor at Creative Remedies, LLC, where I specialize in offering a client-centered approach that minimizes power dynamics and centers the voices and lived experiences of my clients.
As a neurodivergent clinician, I am deeply committed to creating a trauma-informed, humanistic, and neurologically informed space for healing. My own journey, shaped by the challenges of growing up in a marginalized community, has fueled my passion to support others, particularly those from BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities, who may also feel overlooked or misunderstood in traditional therapeutic settings. My personal experiences—having to navigate cultural barriers and systemic biases—drive me to be an ally and advocate for those whose voices have historically been silenced.
I offer a range of services, including Individual Music Therapy, Group Music Therapy, Couples and Family Music Therapy, group yoga sessions, individual yoga sessions, and traditional or adaptive Music Lessons. I specialize in (but am not limited to): trauma, childhood trauma, suicide ideation, self-harm, depression, anxiety, BIPOC experiences, LGBTQIA+ identities, coping skills, grief, women’s issues, and neurodiversity.
My childhood was anything but traditional. I often moved between various facilities, which exposed me to the power of music therapy and the healing potential it holds. These experiences shaped my sense of empathy, compassion, and determination to create a safe and open space for those who need support the most. I’ve worked hard to get to where I am today, using my evidence-based skills, knowledge, and lived experiences to help my clients achieve their personal growth and healing goals.
I remain dedicated to fostering an inclusive and understanding environment where all individuals—especially those from marginalized communities—can feel seen, heard, and empowered.
