Welcome! My name is Komalpreet (she/her), I am a Punjabi Sikh social worker in training, who is committed to individual and collective healing. I believe that individual well-being is deeply intertwined with the health of our communities and the justice of our social systems. My approach to mental health is rooted in a commitment to collective liberation, autonomy, and care. If you are looking for a collaborative, anti-oppressive space where your healing is understood as a vital part of a larger movement toward justice, I invite you to connect with me.

My therapeutic philosophy is person-centered, culturally-responsive, and liberation-focused. I am determined to co-create with you a space that supports your ability to engage as your fuller selves in your feelings, thoughts, actions, and dreams. We each hold such deep capacities for pain and power that deserves to just exist in the world with no expectations of making ourselves “small”, “presentable”, or “respectable” to systems of oppression. I hold both an individual and systems perspective, and believe that the socio-political realities we experience cannot be disconnected from the personal experiences we go through. I view healing as a political act and a process that happens both internally and within relationships and communities. I aim to create a space that validates your experiences within a larger social context, moving beyond individual pathology to explore the systemic pressures that impact your mental health.

Areas of Focus
-Exploring relationships
-Navigating identity and autonomy– this includes cultural identity
-Trauma, including intergenerational and complex trauma
-Burnout, stress, and personal/collective care

I am currently a second year Master’s of Social Work student (graduation: June 2026) and a practicing therapist intern through Deconstructing the Mental Health System, I currently hold a Master’s of Science in Justice Studies from Arizona State University, where I studied Punjabi Sikh American identity development. I have been supporting community members for over a decade through community work in youth justice, abolitionist, gender base violence, transformative justice, and education spaces.
