Living as an Asian American Woman, most of my reflections and experiences bring forth collective themes of invisibility, erasure, silence, and systemic racism that other BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ peers experienced in our upbringings and existing in these systems. I understand what it’s like to feel paralyzed and internalize it. I am passionate and sensitive to these areas, primarily when we work in areas where we often don’t have the language. I hope to give you autonomy while empowering you as we work together on these spaces.

My approach is informed by multicultural, feminist, family System, gestalt, and eclectic/integrative theories. I utilize techniques from trauma-informed and somatic practices and work from a liberating, critical social theory and social justice framework. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy but rather a co-creation process between therapists and client(s).

I am currently completing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands, and I received a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from Cal State Long Beach. I have spent most of my career working with college students and young adults helping them navigate small and Big traumas (Religious/Church, Racial, Childhood, Displacement, Immigrant), self-worth, imposter syndrome, conflict resolution, and more. I have also worked in mentoring and educating in social justice frameworks while destigmatizing mental health in BIPOC communities. I have also partnered with and mentored young women of color regarding racial identity work, self-advocacy work, and navigating leadership spaces in nonprofit, corporate, and church/ministry areas.
