Viviana Castillo Contreras, LMHCA

I work with clients who might see me because they find themselves having difficult experiences, emotions and thoughts. My goal is to offer a space in which we work through life’s inevitable challenges together. I offer goal oriented and strength-based care for my clients. I believe that they have a strength within them that will be beneficial in their healing. I genuinely care for my clients and believe everyone has the capacity within them to live a fulfilling life.
I gained my training from Northwest University. My degree is awarded in clinical mental health counseling. I completed a counseling internship at Sound, the Forefront of Healthcare where I had the experience of working with a wide range of clients. I am currently in private practice and see clients both through telehealth and in person.
I strive to hold a genuine therapeutic relationship with my clients by coming into session with a gentle, accepting, and warm energy. My greatest value is to see others fully, to make them feel heard and understood. I will come into session as my own authentic self, I welcome clients to come as their authentic selves too.
