Rajinder Singh, Registered Psychotherapist, RP, MA

Mental health and mental illness are words used interchangeably but they are not the same. I provide a safe, non-judgemental, validating space where deep listening and empathy plays a central role in helping people struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, grief, trauma, work stress etc. These issues can often cause alienation and loneliness which can be detrimental to mental health. But there is no need to go through this journey alone because help is available. Supportive environment of therapy helps in meaning making and lessens the helplessness and confusion.
I am Toronto (Canada) based licensed Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO) and Psychoanalyst, IPA, London.
I have been trained in several evidence based approaches like ACT, CBT, interpersonal and psychodynamic etc. Having worked with people from diverse backgrounds and being an immigrant, empowers me to factor in marginalisation, religion, racism, gender etc into the process of therapy which makes it holistic, culturally sensitive and anti-oppressive.
When you are feeling depressed and anxious it’s not easy to trust anyone including a professional, there might be countless feelings which a client has to encounter before making a decision to take an appointment. I believe this initial hurdle is huge and when you decide despite this, it can be empowering and play a critical role in the therapy process.
Currently I am providing therapy only virtually and I can be contacted at rajinderpsy@gmail.com.
