Does your life or path look very different than those around you? Do you have a hard time saying “no” to others & feeling guilty or resentful in your relationships? If this sounds like you; I can help! I am honored to do this work & it is a privilege to work alongside clients as you learn to accept your own path, set healthy boundaries with those around you, and learn how to build a life of peace & authenticity.

Growing up in Latinx culture, I understand how hard it can be to talk about mental health, especially with someone you’ve just met. We are often taught to “keep things in the family” or to “not rock the boat” for the collective well-being, while internally we put our needs & wants aside & we suffer. There is a fine line between collective care & codependency, but I promise you, it is possible to live a life that includes care for yourself while not abandoning the collective culture you are part of. You too are part of the collective, in need of love, nurturing, care & healing! In my therapeutic approach I aim to foster a relationship with you based on mutual trust; one that utilizes your individual, collective & cultural strengths, exploring the nuances of cultural & individual identity, while also working with you in learning new skills that can improve your mental health & quality of life.

My clients are teens and women of color. I utilize evidence-based treatments as well as anti-oppression & decolonization approaches to therapy. I also incorporate humor & interactive elements such as play, movement, art & music in my practice. I have witnessed the transformative power of these elements in sessions & enjoy utilizing them when appropriate.
