Krystal H. Parrish PhD, Psychotherapist

I am a black, biracial, queer woman. I have a traditional education, but I believe in wisdom through lived experience. I have my own unique lived experience, and I try to be radically genuine with my clients. However, I will always center my you. I am here to hold space, share insight, and collaborate.
As a therapist, I believe that if we have the opportunity or privilege to self-reflect and critically engage with ourselves and our lives, we can break free of old patterns and chains that only create more suffering. I also believe that to address the person, or the couple, or the family, we need to address the entire system. Part of the acknowledgment of the entire system is the acknowledgment of the many ideologies and institutions that are currently actively harming BIPOC, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, and other underrepresented and marginalized folks (intersectionally, of course). I do not believe in using therapy as a tool to assimilate disenfranchised people into abusive or harmful systems. Please note that I offer my services as an alternative health care provider without licensure, outside of the traditional psychotherapy-insurance paradigm.
