Kevin Lang, LPC

None of us come out of childhood without some cuts and bruises. Sometimes physical, but more oftentimes emotional. For many, these emotional wounds are still tender, open, lightly dressed with a bandage, forgotten, or even neglected. So when these emotions get touched we find ourselves reacting in ways that aren’t in line with the kind of person we want to be.
I integrate different approaches tailored to each individual, couple, or family, utilizing emotion focused therapy (EFT), elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). In our work together we will learn to accept and experience emotions in a safe way instead of fighting so hard to ignore or move past them.
Our work will include processing, identifying, and exploring emotions. Learning ways to respond to our thoughts and feelings in ways that allow us to act more in line with our values, which can in turn help you in living a richer and more meaningful life.
