You built this life by being the reliable one. Now you wake up tired, annoyed, and wondering who you are underneath the grind. I’m a burnout and trauma therapist in Brooklyn, NYC, working online with first-generation adults, children of immigrants, and BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent professionals who are burned out from over-functioning. Clients usually arrive saying “Why am I so exhausted when my life looks fine?” or “I’m the one who takes care of it. Nobody asks who takes care of me.” If you’ve said that, you probably felt it in your body first.

We go slower than you’re used to. Using somatic therapy and IFS (Internal Family Systems), we get curious about the parts of you that learned early to perform, anticipate, and say “I’m fine.” They protected you. The work is helping them rest. This isn’t a quick fix, and you don’t need the whole story ready on day one. We start with what brought you in.

As a first-generation Haitian-American, Black therapist, I know what over-functioning costs. You won’t have to explain why stopping is hard, or justify needing support. All sessions are online; I’m licensed in New York, Florida, and Washington, DC. Book a free 20-minute phone consultation and we’ll see if it’s a fit. No waitlist. Most start within a week.
