H Saron D. Anglon-Coleman, LMSW, LSAA
I spent much of my young adulthood working for the social justice of all people. While doing so, I emphasized the importance of emotional recovery from social injustices. I wanted to be in service of such healing. Balance, empathy, justice, community, & restoration from the impacts of systemic oppression are all important to me. I utilize traditional & holistic approaches interwoven into western science to help others achieve positive mental health. I believe in liberation from all systems of oppression and that healing can shift individuals/families/communities’ energy so that more people can join in the struggle for liberation.
With 5 years of experience supporting individuals with substance use disorders as well as survivors of domestic violence, I bring a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to my practice. Prior to entering the counseling field, I spent thirteen years deeply engaged in movements focused on the liberation of all people and the protection of our planet.
I work with young adults, adults, and elders of all ethnicities and races, sexualities, gender identities, abilities, educational backgrounds, national origins, and classes. I am deeply committed to supporting individuals in healing intergenerational trauma and navigating systemic oppression, with the ultimate aim of fostering resilience and thriving.
