Gaby Davila, Clinical Counselor
We deserve to live, not just survive. That’s why our time together centers on your identities and experiences, taking into account the systemic and historical barriers that prevent your wellbeing. If you are Latine, Black, Indigenous or other Person of Color with intersecting identities (such as queer, trans/non-binary, first-generation student, immigrant, survivor of domestic violence, low income and/or single parent), I welcome every part of you. In our connection, I invite and honor you to be your authentic self, and to allow all the parts of you to be celebrated by me, and eventually by you, too. I wholeheartedly believe therapy is a means of collective healing and an innate right.
My identities and upbringing reflect the communities I chose to engage with, and the belief that we empower one another. I have experience facilitating group and one-on-one discussions and healing spaces for QTBIPOC undergraduate and graduate college students, and I am currently a Clinical Counselor—providing sliding scale, bilingual, bicultural, intersectional, empowering, affirming, and re-indigenizing/de-colonizing therapy. I also incorporate my yoga certification into our mindfulness-based/somatic/art therapy sessions.
Reach out to me if you want to connect further 🙂
