EK Counseling Services, PLLC
I am committed to offering support to communities of color, Spanish-speaking individuals, military families, and individuals dealing with chronic illnesses such as diabetes. Through my role as a medical social worker, I’ve gained valuable experiences in assisting individuals managing type 1 and type 2 diabetes, along with other chronic health conditions. I also have a special focus on providing support to new parents, expectant parents, and those encountering fertility challenges.
My own upbringing has highlighted the importance of providing assistance in one’s native language and fostering cultural understanding. Many individuals in our community encounter difficulties accessing therapy due to lingering stigma, hindering our ability to collectively overcome shared traumas. As a therapist, my objective is to dismantle these barriers and establish a secure environment where the Latinx and other marginalized communities can openly address their struggles, heal, and flourish together.
My therapeutic approach is client-centered and collaborative, tailoring sessions to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual. My style is empathetic, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive, fostering a safe space for open exploration and self-discovery.
Recognizing that seeking counseling services can be intimidating, my goal is to make this process as straightforward and approachable as possible.
