Hello & welcome! I am a psychotherapist in Seattle, Washington, in unceded traditional land of the Coast Salish & Duwamish Indigenous People. I am social justice oriented therapist that uses an anti-oppressive, culturally inclusive & decolonizing mental health lens to honor all parts of you as a human being. I provide counseling to adults & parents/caregivers of children ages 0-5.
My passion in supporting others as a psychotherapist is derived from my own lived-experience of being a first generation Cambodian American immigrant, cis, able-bodied woman of color, living between two socio-cultures.
I grew up witnessing the negative impacts that historical, racial & intergenerational trauma had on my family & on the formation of my own identity.
It is within these intersectional identities of power, privilege & oppression that I am challenged to seek healing & to support others in their own healing journey.
I find tremendous joy in supporting my clients to unearth, discover & put words to their own unique experiences where social oppression & pressures have caused undue harm, pain & suffering, & to support them to claim their power & voice.
I believe that when we can stay with & honor our feelings & our bodies as a source of intelligence, we are then able to cultivate awareness, peel off the labels, & reveal our true authentic selves. When we know what no longer serves us, we can begin to engage with it critically. It is then that we are able to make space for life’s meaning & purpose to emerge.
