Relief Mental Health was founded by Dr. Dominique Wilson, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC. Dr. Wilson has over 12 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner. She is dually certified in family medicine and psychiatric mental health. She specializes in mental and works with adults, teens, and children. Dr. Wilson is very passionate about the care of her client’s and ensures that a holistic approach to care is provided. She has been a preceptor for several years and loves teaching and providing the educational training that will ensure students confidence and prepare them for their journey as a nurse practitioner.

Dr. Wilson believes in implementing effective psychotherapy methods to instill self-understanding among her client’s and encourage them to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix. Therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the client and caretaker alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results.
