This will help PLLC Scholarship Awardees have an equitable start to their Private Practice, and expand the BIPoC workforce. It also helps BIPoC clients have increased access to Clinicians of Color and inevitably, reduces likelihood of racial trauma occurring in therapy sessions. Last week, DMHS had the honor collaborating with Dr. Kim from Envision Counseling, LLC to provide: Become a Washington State Approved Supervisor (15 NBCC Approved CEU Hours (3 Ethics Hours) to a group of 8 Therapists for free!! Please take a moment to congratulate DMHS first Approved Supervisor Cohort, the faces of the future of Supervision in Washington State. They will be providing culturally sensitive and responsive supervision to newer Therapists getting their hours to become fully licensed. This will result in retention of Therapists of Color AND increased high quality options for Communities of Color seeking therapy. The goal is always to increase access to mental health services and reduce harm to our communities. We cannot wait to see what they do!
